What is an advertisement agency?


An advertisement agency creates and generates creative ideas for television, radio, newspaper, magazine and billboard adverts. The adverts could be for products, television programs or even liver events. Advertisement agencies are like promoters for companies and for their products. In production the advertising of the product is of huge importance. Selling the product by a good advert will make viewers want to go and buy it. Therefore the more creative and unique the adverts are will best describe and flaunt the products range of quality.  
 

Different Types of Advertisement Agencies
 

Business-to-Business:

Business-to-Business advertising agencies specialize in advertising products to a business, as opposed to consumer, audience. Businesses to business agencies make the complicated and important decisions to use the media and build relations with prospects and customers over time.

Retail:

Retail advertising agencies work for groups or companies that market their products through retailers or distributors. They employ creative and production teams that are capable of dealing with the development of detailed price-based advertising and can cope with a lot of last minute changes to the content.

Digital Media:

Digital media agencies offer a specialist service creating advertisements for the Internet or other electronic channels. They may work with mainstream advertising agencies that do not have digital media skills, or directly with clients concentrating their budgets on new media.

 

Key Roles in Advertisement Agencies

Creative roles:


The creative roles are highly skilled jobs such as designer, graphic designer, illustrator, art director, art worker and creative art worker. They are expected and require the ability to be able to use computer programs such as editing or publisher or even standard media such as paper, to create advertising campaigns into working ideas.             There are also job roles such as copyrighters, this job role means that they will choose the slogan or theme and copyright it so no other company could steal the idea.

Business Development:


Business development job roles will include setting projects to increase the growth of the company and its sales. This role is very important to the company and its advertising. The bigger the company, the   better the advert.

Account Management roles:


These roles require a strong people skills, good sales skills, negotiation skills, listening and organizing skills, plus the ability to learn quickly and to be able to translate ideas between client and creative teams, effortlessly.

Account management job roles will include keeping budgets for the advertisements and informing the producers about how much money they have to spend on the advert. They will have to keep track of expenditure and make sure that the company does not go into debt.
